How To Deal With ‘Mask Mouth’

May 8, 2021
Living in a country where masks are mandatory 24/7 except in your own home, its a bit too easy to tell people not to wear them, since the penalties are at a level that can put you in harm’s way financially for the rest of your life and 30 days in jail is a reality, it’s just too easy saying so.

That is a reality that can’t be ignored.

Working with people in Healings or meeting them locally I recommend flushing your mouth twice a day with Clove Oil.

It is also a method used in the Ayurveda for Mouth and Dental Health:

After brushing your teeth.

You take a bit of lukewarm water, apply 2-3 drops of Clove Oil and simply flush your mouth, keeping the Clove Oiled water in your mouth and push/pull it between your teeth and getting it in touch with your entire mouth. Then you gurgle your throat and spit it out. Do not swallow! The Clove Oiled water can feel like it stings your mouth, also a bit after use. No worries – essential oils are very powerful.

After this, you can flush your mouth with water to get rid of the taste of the oil. But give it some time to work.

Doing this for a couple of times, you will get used to it. Make it a ritual every day, if you are in a country with 24/7 Mask use.

There is more to be read about this in: Benefits of Clove Essential Oil and how to deal with the Oil and how to be cautious.

‘Mask mouth’ is a seriously stinky side effect of wearing masks
“Gum disease — or periodontal disease — will eventually lead to strokes and an increased risk of heart attacks,” says Dr. Marc Sclafani, another co-founder of One Manhattan Dental.
